Pure water DI/RO pole system on every exterior
Window Cleaning
Greater SydneySydney windows, cleaned the way they should be.
Sydney tap water is moderately hard and bore water out in the sticks is harder again. Sprinkler overspray leaves mineral deposits that etch the glass if you leave them long enough, and most window cleaners have no answer for that. We handle the lot, pure water exterior rinse, squeegee interior, screens, tracks, sills, and CeriGlass restoration when the etching's already set in.

The Brief
Everything worth knowing.
Straight answers, no fluff. Read what applies to your home, skip what doesn't.
Why Sydney windows spot so fast
Sydney tap water carries a decent whack of calcium and magnesium, and bore water through the outer west and north-east carries plenty more. When your sprinklers overspray onto glass, and that's basically every house with in-ground irrigation, the water evaporates and leaves the minerals behind. One season is cosmetic. Two or three and the minerals start to etch into the silica of the glass itself. At that point ordinary cleaning does nothing. The deposit has to be cut out, not wiped off.
Pure water exterior vs the old-school squeegee
We run deionised and reverse-osmosis filtered water through a carbon fibre pole on every exterior clean. Water that pure has no dissolved solids, so when it dries there's nothing left behind, no streaks, no spotting, no residue on the frames or sills. The pole system also reaches your second and third storey glass without a ladder leaning on your gutters. Inside, we squeegee by hand where water control matters more than reach.
When the spots have already etched: CeriGlass restoration
Once hard water deposits have been on the glass long enough to etch the surface, no cleaning solution shifts them. The damage is physical, not chemical. CeriGlass is a cerium oxide polishing compound applied wet to a rotary pad that works the mineral intrusion out of the glass without scratching it. We assess each pane before we quote restoration. Some come back to near-new clarity. Others are too far gone and a replacement is the honest conversation to have. We'll tell you which is which before we start.
Fly screens, tracks and sills, the bits most crews skip
A clean pane behind a dirty fly screen still reads as dirty. We pull every screen, wash both sides, rinse and reinstall. Tracks get vacced first to lift the compacted pollen, grit and dead insects, then wiped down with a damp cloth. Frames and sills the same. These are the details that separate a window clean from a proper window detail, and they're in the job, not sold as add-ons.
New builds in Rouse Hill, Riverstone and Oran Park
The build-out corridors through Wyndham, Whittlesea and Casey come with a specific problem. Construction dust is silica-heavy, gets embedded in the screens, coats the frames, and bonds to glass in ways ordinary cleaning underestimates. Post-construction window cleaning needs longer dwell times, more aggressive agitation on frames, and full screen and track work on windows that may never have been touched since install. We do a heap of this in the growth suburbs and know exactly what the job needs.
Auction and listing prep
Sydney listing photos are shot wide-angle with natural light pulling through the glass. Dirty windows kill the shot and kill buyer perception at the Saturday open. We coordinate with agents and owners on tight campaign timelines, prioritise the kerb-facing and main living glass, and cover the exterior frames and sills so it holds up on camera and on walk-through. If the house also wants a soft wash before photos, we roll both into one visit.
Holiday scheduling, book early or wait
Window cleaning demand goes through the roof in November and early December ahead of Chrissy. The calendar fills. If you want it done before the holidays, October is the time to book. We don't hold spots without a set date and we don't rush jobs to fit a last-minute request. Plan ahead or plan to wait.
Bundle with a house wash
Windows and a full exterior house wash go hand in hand. Soft wash can leave a mist on the glass if the windows aren't addressed after, and a house wash that ignores the windows leaves the most visible surface of the home half-done. We schedule both in one visit, house wash first, windows once the cladding and trim have dried. One crew, one day, one result.

Window Cleaning FAQ
Answers before you ask.
How much does professional window cleaning cost in Sydney?+
Pricing typically depends on the number of windows, whether it's single or double storey, and if there are hard-to-reach areas like skylights or upper-level glass needing ladder or pole access. Double-storey homes and properties with large glass features common in newer Sydney builds usually cost more than a standard single-storey home. Most companies offer a flat quote after knowing your home's layout.
Do you clean window tracks and flyscreens as well as the glass?+
Most professional window cleaning services include wiping down tracks and frames, and flyscreen cleaning is often available as an add-on since it requires removing and washing screens separately. It's worth confirming exactly what's included when booking, as some quotes cover glass only. Track buildup is common in coastal Sydney homes due to salt and dust.
How often should windows be professionally cleaned in a coastal Sydney suburb?+
Homes in salt-affected suburbs like Cronulla, Manly or Coogee often benefit from window cleaning every 3 to 4 months, since salt spray builds up a hazy film faster than in inland areas. Inland Sydney homes can typically go longer, around every 6 months, unless there's heavy pollen or construction dust nearby. Regular cleaning also helps you spot frame or seal issues early.
What's used to clean windows streak-free?+
Professional window cleaners typically use a squeegee and purified or deionised water system combined with a mild detergent solution, which leaves glass streak-free without the residue that ordinary tap water or household glass cleaner can leave behind. Purified water systems are especially useful for hard-to-reach upper windows since they can be rinsed and left to dry spot-free. This approach also works well on Sydney's harder tap water in some areas.
Can you clean windows on a two-storey home safely without scaffolding?+
Yes, professional window cleaners commonly use extension poles, purified water-fed pole systems, or ladders with proper safety equipment to reach second-storey windows without needing scaffolding for most standard homes. Scaffolding or specialised access equipment is really only needed for unusually tall or difficult architectural homes. Ask your provider what equipment they use for your specific property height.
Will window cleaning remove hard water stains or mineral spots?+
Standard window cleaning removes dirt, grime and salt film well, but stubborn hard water or mineral staining, sometimes caused by sprinkler overspray, may need a specialised acidic treatment or light polishing beyond a normal clean. It's worth pointing these spots out when booking so your provider can quote for the extra treatment if needed. Not all stains fully disappear if they've etched into the glass over a long period.
